Today was Jake's Spring Recital- NOT graduation. Again mommy did not read the whole sign on the door's at church for the past 2 weeks when it said at the top May 1 is Spring recital and then a little on down the paragraph it said Graduation is May 8th. I failed to see the second paragraph cause it was too long to read...if you know me you will know...If it doesn't pertain to me then i don't listen nor read for that matter. So today when i dropped Jake off i notice a couple things HIGHLIGHTED...that is when i seen that Graduation is next week......I left a message for mom and when she called back...she said DO YOU EVER PAY ATTENTION?! You should see me in department meetings at work.....they NEVER have anything to do with me.....Nobody does what I do.....so thank goodness they now have all there meetings on Thursday's when I am at home working....so I don't have to listen to none of that stuff! I have not been to a meeting since October last year! YIPPEE.
I am sure glad graduation was not tonight along with this, because I lost it when the 2 year old's came on the stage. That was Jake's age when he had his first recital at school......now this is his last. This is my last time I will come watch him sing songs like this. While I was watching I noticed he was JUST LIKE ME....and now looking back he was never the boy who really stood out singing. I believe he lip sang every song for the most part, except for the chorus parts...it looked like he mumbled all the words... I totally used to do that...I still sing very low in church and when we would sing at school I would never sing out loud and was always shy like that. He was really the only child that did that.....Everyone else seemed to be belting out the tunes! It was so cute.
