On Thursday, Rex turned 15 months old. He is getting sooooo big!
I went thru both boys baby albums today and got everything organized. I got Jake and Rex's matching school day albums in this week so I finished up with Jakes pre-school this week also. Rex is right on target with most everything Jake used to do in the past months also with an exception of a couple.....
Rex doesn't really care to use a fork and Jake loved it...he keeps it in his hand but, tonight he was shoving potatoes in with his hand....as you can see in the picture he is using the fork some!
Jake wasn't really "off" the bottle at this month and Rex has officially been off for about a month now. I don't think milk settled with his tummy in the summer....because every time he got a 8 oz bottle down sometime that day he would vomit it all back up....poor thing so the last time I just took it away from him and he never cried or asked for it again....that was EASY.
Jake was also a pacifier boy...we took it away from him when he was 12 months old....never bothered with crying for it either...but Rex poor boy is a thumb sucker and he is just a little baby I LOVE IT! I think it is so cute....but he only does it when he gets tired...so I can bear it. Today at the pool when we were getting ready to leave, Rex was tired and he grabbed the towel and wrapped it around his hand and that thumb went in his mouth and he slowly walked to the water and was like where do I lay down to take a nap at? This doesn't look right? I grabbed him up and he was asleep in no time!
Rex loves to jabber too....we have this toy that records sounds and then replays them and he loves recording and listening to his voice again! It is so cute. He loves to say "dada", ca (car), ga( for everything) HOT! knows that word all to well, but he still gets it mixed up with cold air from the air vent he says that is hot too!
Today we went to the "Froggy Pool" spur of the moment...I thought it was suppose to rain, but at 9am it was sunny and no clouds so we took off to the pool...Jake calls this one the Froggy Pool cause it has a little frog slide for kids and he loves it....A couple weeks ago we took the boys to Wave Country and as Rex's 1st time swimming he didn't care for it too much...all the pictures I have of him there were walking on the side of the pool! Today was much better after the initial shock and got him in the calm water he settled down and was even playing in his little float with the ducks! (it has ducks on it) We actually stayed for about 2 hours which is more than expected with Rex.
I ran to Wal-mart tonight after nap time and everything in the store is for "Back to School" I can't believe my time is already here to go do that kind of shopping. I really am upset about it, cause back in the day we could where anything and now they have to go by the dress code- which sucks. I bought a shirt the other day thinking it would be perfect for Jake's Kindergarten picture and he can't wear it- Solid colors only and this was blue and brown stripes. That is so lame to do that to kindergartner's....So I guess the only thing I have to worry about for pictures from year to year is what color solid he had the year before!!!!!!!!!! UGH! Glad I don't have a girl- I really would be upset then! All those cute clothes and they wouldn't be able to wear half of them!
Enjoy the pics!
