My baby is already 20 months old today...4 short months and he is going to be 2! I don't like that number....I can't believe he growing up so fast. My poor little boy has had alot of downs in the past 4 months; so hopefully after this last sickness the next 4 months will be healthy ones!
Rex has been getting over Scarlett Fever for the past week now. The poor child never goes anywhere, not to daycare, not to wal-mart, not anywhere. (His germ-a-phobic mother swore she would not do the same thing with this child, but she has some what). So last Wednesday I decided it wasn't that cold outside, we were going to go out to eat as a family. Where did we go? The newly renovated Pizza Hut. (I thought was clean) I was so proud of him~ he ate 2 slices of pizza~more than his big brother did! Came home...went to bed on time as usual. 11:30 I just check on my little Rexie...burning up with fever....now this being my second child I can pretty much tell how high a fever is, without a thermometer. I guessed it to be 103-104....well I did check it, and it as 103.5 I quickly gave him Tylenol....then the vomiting started cause he started crying when the cold towel come to cool him down faster.....anyway long story shorter...somewhat. With Jake- after he had his tubes put in, all his infections went from the ear to his tonsils....he kept tonsillitis all the time....So with Rex, I just knew he had something wrong with his throat...but as the morning progressed he had a red eczema type rash all over his back and arms and legs and face! Anyway- it was the sign of Scarlett Fever- which is Strep Throat Type A- After his first dose of antibiotic the fever was gone~which Tylenol/Motrin every 3 1/2 - 4 hours wouldn't touch the fever....gosh I am a pain in the butt when I get a temp of 100-101 OMG I couldn't imagine a temp that high and how I would feel.....I can't stand for my kids to be sick and in pain...hate it. But, I really think the hot tea helped him recover fast too....he is such a good drinker of that stuff. Jake would never touch anything warm to drink like that.....so thank goodness for tea and all the antioxidants...cause I totally thought my throat was sore that day after drinking after him...but drank tea all day and it was gone!
Now my baby got his color back in his face today! He looks so much better and healthy looking:) Glad he is feeling back to normal.... Happy Birthday Rexie
Hopefully tomorrow I will have some healthy pictures of my boy! The ones I have now are all of him sick...and I don't like looking at him all pittyful looking!
