Today, we decided to meet Gamma at the Park and go swimming with Rex. He sure didn't know what to think of it at first, and really didn't want to go in. But, after he decided to leave the little girl beside us alone and her baby doll- That was the first time he ever seen a baby doll and he just didn't know why she had her stuffed in the play basket she had. He went over and gave her a kiss on the head and said baby. Then he finally warmed up to the pool and he went under all the sprinkles and thought it was fun then. Jake never warmed up to the sprinklers till he was 5 years old! Last year was his first time getting all wet with the head and sprinklers...I think Rex is going to be my little water boy! I just love it now that BOTH boys love the water....cause we are going to keep those water parks busy this summer:)
I had packed a picnic lunch for us too and when we went over to the same place that Sarah had her birthday party, he said where baby, want cake? Where's Papa, where's daddy? Balloons? He remembered everything! I told him that no, Sarah wasn't here today and no cake. We sure missed her and maybe just mommy can come down with Sarah and spend a couple days with us and we can go to the pool and swim with them! That would be fun:)
Rex had his favorite shirt on, his gamma found it for him and he wants to wear his "monk" shirt all the time. He usually calls all motorcycles "Jake's monk" every time he sees one, but when he has his shirt on...he says "my monk, not Jake's monk!" Thanks Gamma for finding that one...it sure is a keeper! We had fun with you today...it was a great idea:)
