Last of the Summer Projects....I think!

Beau has been at it again, with his projects. Well, he really blames them on me- but it isn't all me at all! Remember when I said, I wanted to redo the upstairs so the downstairs could be a sitting area for when people visit- I don't have to explain all the toys. Well, we finally took out the old TV center (that he despised) I really didn't care.... Well, he lasted 1 whole day without a TV downstairs. I did miss the noise of a TV, but I liked the clean living room better! It only made more work for himself....he had to add all new wiring for a TV to go above the fireplace, then the tile that has been broken forever- he broke even more when drilling a hole for the wire, so he said we have left over tile from previous work ummm about 7 years ago...so he said he would just replace it with that- simple fix! Those are his famous last words too:) As he nailed in the last nail on the crown molding- he chipped a piece of tile- so he had to replace it! Our projects always happen this way so it is to the point of almost comical for us! I said, ALMOST.

He really doesn't mind doing projects, it is just that NOTHING goes right the first time with his projects that he gets so upset with them, and I get upset because it is the same story all the time! I get easily agitated with projects:) I think that is why we love that show on DIY Network, Renovation Realities, that has normal people doing remodels and projects....and everything goes wrong with those also, so we feel normal!

This was Beau after he did the TV wiring and started on taking the broken tile out

This was the almost finished project, before the crown molding put back on fireplace, and the broken tile he had to replace!

Finished up close look.....

Here was the picture I showed him I wanted for the built-in storage upstairs, then you can use your imagination on what he told me to do with that picture too! He really got mad at me for even suggesting this below, I told him it didn't have to be exactly like it- just similar in some of the things....he said he didn't have the tools to do half of that.....and that I was spoiled for even asking! I did tell him I was sorry, but he did such a good job on the TV one that I thought he could- and the fact it looks so easy to make online for a girl!

So, this is what I got instead of the above. A really nice big toy box for all their toys, the built in I wanted wouldn't of held any of the boy's big toys...so this was a much better idea Beau had! He just used wood left over from the TV built-in and left over paint too! Thanks Honey!
